MST Technical Staff - certified laser operators

All MST laser operators are factory trained and certified by the laser manufacturer and required to perform a minimum 30 cases with an experienced and certified laser operator before laser operator certification.

All MST laser technicians are MSLO (Medical Safety Laser Officer) trained and certified and required to obtain MSLO credentialing within 12 months of their employment.

Safety & Procedures

  • All MST laser operators are factory trained and certified by the laser manufacturer and required to perform a minimum 30 cases with an experienced and certified laser operator before laser operator certification.
  • All MST laser technicians are MSLO (Medical Safety Laser Officer) trained and certified and required to obtain MSLO credentialing within 12 months of their employment.
  • All MST lasers undergo preventative maintenance a minimum of three (3) times per year.
  • All MST lasers are serviced and PM'D by manufacturer trained laser technicians.
  • All MST lasers deliver the maximum amount of efficiency and safety for all procedures and meet and exceed all JCAHO guidelines (ANSI Z136.3:1996).
  • All MST lasers and laser operators carry a minimum of $2 million in professional liability insurance each year.
  • All MST laser operators and personnel observe all nominal hazard zones  as mandated by the state Bureau of Radiation Control during all laser procedures.
  • All MST laser systems are registered with the Bureau of Radiation Control (BRC), within the Texas Department of Health, as required by state law.  BRC registration number - Z01197.
  • Trimedyne and MST carry extensive product liability insurance and professional liability insurance on its certified laser operators, respectively. Insurance certificates are available upon request.
  • MST provides a minimum of twelve (12) wavelength specific laser safety eyewear and two (2) sterile probes for each procedure scheduled.
  • MST pricing includes delivery, setup, ANSI laser safety signs, ANSI laser safety eye wear, a certified laser operator, any necessary smoke evacuation systems and any and all arthroscopy, urology, plastic surgery, dermatalogic, ENT, Ob/GYN, general surgery, and/or gastroenterology delivery systems.  Spinal probes vary depending on the facility's equipment and surgeon's preference and are furnished based on surgeon’s preference.   Pricing varies with spinal probe requested.

 

Scheduling

  • In order to schedule a procedure, complete one of the following for each case:

       ·  Submit a completed Service Request Form

       ·  Print a Service Request Form to submit by fax.

       ·  Call our MST offices at (800) 765-9661 or (972) 735-8003.

       ·  Page your account representative.

  • MST schedules by the case. When the equipment is booked, please know the number of cases and type of procedure(s) for each case scheduled. This will enable us to ensure that the right number and type of probes are delivered with the equipment.
  • When the equipment is scheduled, please have the surgeon(s) name(s), phone number(s) and an office contact person.
  • The equipment will be delivered and set up by our certified laser operators.
  • The laser operator will operate the laser and make setting adjustments during the procedure, as directed by the surgeon(s).
  • A rental delivery form will be given to you immediately following the scheduled surgery.  A purchase order is due as soon as services are rendered.
  • If there is a cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery, a cancellation fee will be invoiced.
